Kevin Saunders is St. James School’s Physical Education teacher and Athletic Director. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from UC Davis in 1991. He attended National University for his teaching credential.

Mr. Saunders has been in education for 18 years as a substitute teacher in the Roseville School District and ten years as the Athletic Director at a private TK-8 school in Roseville.

Mr. Saunders was drawn to Catholic education because he wanted to work with children in an athletic environment as sports were always important to him growing up. Go Falcons!

Physical Education is part of St. James School’s required curriculum and is taught by our full-time P.E. teacher. 

Students in grades Transitional Kindergarten through Five have P.E. three days per week and students in grades Six through Eight have P.E. two days per week.Classes occur in either the school’s gym or on the field.

Our P.E. program is developmentally based with the goal of having children enjoy moving!  Students participate in age appropriate activities such as; relay games and cardiovascular conditioning as well as skill units for jump rope, football, basketball, volleyball, soccer, kickball and PickleBall.
